NON-PARTISAN PRODUCTIONS

An Exercise in American Democracy.

About us.

Bike the Vote was founded in the spring of 2004 by Ally Brundige and Vanessa Herald, from New Haven, and Jessie Hoyt and Chris Fondulas, from New York City. Witnessing a steady decrease in voter turnout over the past four decades, Bike the Vote's mission was formed: a non-partisan campaign to register, educate and motivate people to take part in our nation's Democracy through voting in both local and national elections.

After several fundraisers, some last-minute packing and very little training, the four set out on a 3,500 mile cross-country journey for three months, across 13 states, exhausting countless bicycle tubes and meeting thousands of fellow Americans - of all political persuasions - along the way. In the summer of 2004 Bike the Vote registered 1,600 new voters and interviewed myriad individuals in order to create the film you will see here on this site.

Bike the Vote extends their profound gratitude to their family, friends and other supporters of the project. The film is dedicated to their supporters and the inspiring individuals they met along the way.

The Bike the Vote Movie Project is currently in post-production and is scheduled to premiere before Election Day, 2008.
